About Us:
European Commodity Clearing AG is a leading clearing house for energy and commodity products in Europe.
We provide security for our customers by ensuring the physical and financial settlement of transactions for EEX Group and further partner exchanges.
Your Tasks:
As a Linux Administrator, you will manage applications within the European energy market to guarantee the EEX Group service quality and resilience towards internal and external customers.
Your work will directly influence the European power market - a growing and highly regulated market that is in search of further innovation.
Your Responsibilities:
You will be responsible for the orderly operation of those applications, the definition of functional release requirements, and part of the release testing.
Within a diverse team, you will contribute to the stable operation, share your knowledge, and support each other in on-call duties.
The continuous improvement of applications and processes are part of your tasks as well as increasing the operational effectiveness by applying your IT know-how.
Your Skills:
Good knowledge of Linux operating systems like Debian and RedHat.
Good Knowledge of using Github for source code and user guidelines' documentation.
Experience in maintaining applications in a Kubernetes/OpenShift environment.
Know-how and hands-on experience with ITIL Framework as well as knowledge of DevOps principles.
Knowledge of testing strategies and processes, covering requirements' tracking, test analysis, and quality assurance.
Database management know-how of MySQL or Postgres.
Knowledge of messaging solutions (AMQP and Kafka) as well as SQL and NoSQL databases are desirable.
