Behind every product sold by Roche is Pharma Global Technical Operations (PT).
Starting with Phase I of the development process and continuing through to product maturity, PT makes lifesaving medicines at 11 locations, with the support of partners from around the world.
Information (IT) and Automation Operational Technology (OT) teams are key in producing and delivering medicine to patients.
The organization is currently undergoing a transformation towards digitalization, advancing fundamental elements to meet future needs, such as using new technologies.
The ITOT MES Support Lead offers an outstanding opportunity to craft the information and technology solutions in alignment with the Pharma Vision.
Reporting to the IT OT Site Head Kaiseraugst, you will be a member of the local IT OT Leadership Team and deliver harmonized IT and OT solutions for the Site Kaiseraugst & the PT Internal Manufacturing Network.
As ITOT MES Support Lead, you will be the driver of business opportunities enabled by information and operational technologies.
As a business partner to the business value streams & support functions, your focus is always on site priorities including Make Assess Release and delivering the pipeline of new products & operational services in alignment with network priorities.
You are accountable for the IT OT Manufacturing Systems service delivery and are a key interface for the development of technology and processes, risk, and relationship management.
In addition, you take a key role in the digitalization of PT's global manufacturing network, which targets to deliver reliable services through standardization of the IT and OT environment.
Your contribution will be fundamental to embed the new operating model and culture into the entire function.
The Opportunity Provide strong inspirational, engaging leadership and mentoring to direct reports and develop the next generation of employees nurturing a culture of agility and collaboration.
Be responsible for the individual MES related as well as end-to-end Make Assess Release (MAR) processes of site Kaiseraugst.
As accountable for the site IT OT Services and Product Portfolio with respect to MES, ensure overall production strategy and commitments are met, supported by a conducive environment for robust manufacturing execution and continuous improvement.
In partnership with business colleagues, take a key role in identifying business opportunities and co-creating technology-enabled strategies in alignment with overall Manufacturing Site and Network level Themes & Epics.
Facilitate continuous improvement of prioritized initiatives and operational processes, ensuring mobilization of needed resources and skills to advance the IT OT system life-cycle, including integration, deployment, upgrades.
Who you are:
Strong leadership skills to encourage and engage the organization, aligning with the PT vision and strategy in collaboration with PTM Kaiseraugst Leaders.
Expertise in IT, OT, and business domains within the pharmaceutical and biotech industry, with manufacturing and technical operations experience.
Proficient knowledge of pharmaceutical technology and processes, such as MES PharmaSuite and digital plant systems.
Demonstrates business acumen, executive presence, and the ability to navigate ambiguity, promoting a culture of trust, integrity, empathy, and speak up culture.
Agile mindset with a focus on 'Reuse before Buy before Make', ambitious mentality, and excellent communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences.
Bachelor's degree in Biology, Computer Science, Mathematics, Electrical Engineering, Information Systems or equivalent experience; Master/PhD is a plus.
