Formwork Project Manager

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Formwork Project Manager to join our dynamic team in British Columbia.
This role offers an exciting opportunity to lead a variety of civil construction projects, ranging from infrastructure development to large-scale urban projects, ensuring they are executed with precision and excellence.
The ideal candidate will have 4-5 years of experience in project management, a proven track record of delivering projects on time and within budget, and a strong understanding of BC's construction standards, regulations, and environmental practices.
Familiarity with CCDC (Canadian Construction Documents Committee) and CCA (Canadian Construction Association) contracts is essential, as these will be key to managing project agreements and stakeholder expectations effectively.Key Responsibilities:
Project Planning and Management:
Develop detailed project plans, schedules, and budgets.Monitor project progress and implement adjustments to stay on track.Coordinate with stakeholders to ensure project objectives are met.Contract Administration:
Utilize and manage CCDC and CCA contracts, ensuring compliance with their terms and conditions.Negotiate and resolve contract-related issues with clients, general contractors, subcontractors, and consultants.Team Leadership:
Lead project teams, including engineers, contractors, and subcontractors.Provide guidance, resolve conflicts, and ensure smooth communication.Promote a culture of safety and compliance on-site.Stakeholder Communication:
Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, vendors, and regulatory authorities.Prepare and deliver regular project updates and reports.Regulatory Compliance:
Ensure all projects comply with, environmental regulations, and safety standards.Obtain necessary permits and approvals.Quality Assurance and Risk Management:
Conduct site inspections to ensure quality and safety standards are met.Identify potential risks and implement mitigation strategies.Budget and Resource Management:
Manage project budgets, track expenses, and ensure cost-effective solutions.Oversee procurement and resource allocation.Qualifications and Skills:
Education:
Degree in Engineering, or Red Seal in carpentry an asset.Additional formal training in Construction Management desired.Experience:
4-5 years of experience in managing construction projects, preferably in BC.Experience with Formwork, Quality Control, Carpentry, desired.Experience with CCDC and CCA contract administration.Skills:
Strong project management and organizational skills.Excellent communication and leadership abilities.Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera, Procore).Knowledge of BC's construction laws, codes, and environmental regulations.Certifications:
PMP (Project Management Professional) certification is an asset.Valid BC driver's license.Working Conditions:
Primarily office-based, with regular visits to project sites across BC.May involve occasional travel and extended hours to meet project deadlinesCompensation and Benefits:
