Our client is seeking Cross Border Tax professionals to join their clients tax practice in either Toronto or Vancouver.
They are looking for individuals committed to a career in taxation with the desire to lead tax engagements and contribute to the growth of both the firm and their clients.What you will be doing:
Collaborate with Tax Partners and Senior staff on personal tax compliance and advisory engagements.Manage and coordinate tax planning and compliance services for individuals requiring US and Canadian income or estate tax filings.Oversee the risk and financial performance of engagements, including billing, collections, and project budgets.Review assessments and correspond with the IRS, state authorities, and CRA on various issues.Actively mentor and coach staff to achieve their highest potential.Identify client service opportunities.Build and manage client relationships at a senior level, providing high-quality tax service and advice.What you must have:
US and/or Canadian Professional Accounting Designation (CPA).Managerial experience in Cross Border taxation within a public accounting firm.Comprehensive understanding of the Canada-US Tax Treaty.Completion of the In-Depth Tax Program or Masters of Tax Program is an asset.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Ability to multi-task and manage a demanding workload and multiple deadlines.Strong leadership skills with the ability to coach and develop team members.Proficiency in CaseWare, TaxPrep, Bloomberg Tax, CCH, and Microsoft Office.Join their team and take a lead role in shaping the future of our tax practice while enjoying a supportive and dynamic work environment.
