CONTEXT

We are searching for a Senior Scrum Master on behalf of one of our clients. The organization seeks to scale their capability to support the expansion of their new retail model to indirect channels and transform how they sell and services for agencies and corporate buyers. The organization's goal is to deliver a scalable platform with global reach adapted to the latest industry standards for shopping, ordering, and servicing. This includes introducing new capabilities and features to sell and distribute all types of products and fares including moving towards dynamic pricing model and new interline solution. The end state is to transition to order and offer structure management and set the foundation to adopt for delivery and accounting processes across the lifecycle of an order. The organization also has a portal that is a one stop to help integrate and support their partners.

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES

• Build High-Performing teams:
  Foster an environment for high-performing teams that are cross-functional and self-organizing with clear accountability, continuous flow and relentless improvement.
• Manage dependencies and risks:
  Leverage Sprint, Program Increment and Release timelines to identify and manage tasks, issues, risks, and action items to ensure the delivery of high-quality solutions that meet customer satisfaction.
• Stakeholder collaboration:
  Engage and manage stakeholder and vendor interfaces, ensuring the delivery of desired outcomes for the business.
• Keep stakeholders informed:
  Maintain transparency and provide regular updates to stakeholders, keeping them informed of progress, key deliveries, milestones, and due dates.
• Drive decision-making:
  Work collaboratively with Scrum teams, internal stakeholders, and external partners to influence and drive decision-making, supporting project and product teams.
• Foster collaboration:
  Collaborate with RTE working actively for PI planning and participate in Scrum of Scrums with fellow Scrum Masters to promote mutual awareness, alignment, and best practices across projects and teams.
• Coach and guide:
  Act as a leader, providing guidance and coaching to Produce Owners and Agile teams on best practices, principles, and methodologies.
• Continuous improvement:
  Ensure that the team is prepared for the Inspect & Adapt event, including the PI System Demo, quantitative and qualitative measurement, and the retrospective and problem-solving workshop.
• Establish Agile values and practices:
  Take a leadership role in establishing Agile values, methods, principles, and practices for project and product delivery.
• Collaborative alignment:
  Collaborate across functional areas to ensure alignment and successful delivery of key projects

REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS

• At least 5 years of relevant experience required in a similar role.
• Certified Scrum Master.
• Thorough understanding of Agile software development methodologies, values, and practices.
• Experience with the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) is an asset.
• Familiarity with both Agile and Waterfall software development methodologies.
• Proficiency in SDLC tools like JIRA and Confluence is an asset.
• Excellent communication, facilitation, and time management skills.
• Experience working in complex, multi-project, multi-vendor, and multi-team environments.
• Creative, resourceful, and innovative problem solver.
• Airline or travel industry experience is a plus, but not required.
• The successful candidate must be proficient in English, as the role involves working with resources outside of Quebec.
