SENIOR SAP BW ANALYST

POSITION OVERVIEW

We are seeking an experienced SAP BW Analyst with a strong background in SAP data warehousing, data modeling, and business intelligence reporting. The ideal candidate will have a strong background and experience related to SAP Finance, Sales and Supply Chain modules. This role involves working closely with various business units to understand their requirements and deliver comprehensive solutions that leverage SAP BW, SAC (SAP Analytics on Cloud), and Power BI.

REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS

The SAP BW Analyst will report to Director Integration and Analytics.

RESPONSIBILITIES & ACCOUNTABILITITIES

SAP BW Development and Support

• Design, develop and maintain SAP BW data models and data flows.
• Integrate SAP BW with SAP ECC to extract, transform, and load data.
• Strong understanding of modelling practices with SAP Finance, sales and Supply chain modules is required. Experience in creating the Profit and Loss, AR and AP reporting is an asset.
• Implement and maintain SAP BW queries and reports.
• Optimize SAP BW performance and ensure data accuracy and consistency.
• Should be able to develop/debug ABAP code relevant to BW transformations, routines, custom extractors etc.
• Promote reusability, scalability, and performance practices in the data warehouse.

SAP Analytics Cloud Implementation

• Integrate SAC with SAP BW to provide advanced analytics and visualization solutions.
• Develop and manage SAC models, stories, and dashboards.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver SAC solutions that meet business needs.
• Experience with S4 HANA Modelling with CDS views for Profit and Loss and other financial reports is an asset.

Power BI

• Ensure seamless data integration between SAP BW and Power BI.
• Design and develop BW queries for self serve Power BI Reports and dashboards.
• Provide support and troubleshooting for Power BI reports.

Collaboration and Stakeholder Management

• Work closely with business analysts, data scientists, and other stakeholders to understand reporting requirements.
• Provide technical guidance and training to end-users on Business Object and SAC reports and Power BI related queries.
• Collaborate with IT teams to ensure proper integration and functionality of reporting solutions.

Documentation and Process Improvement

• Document technical specifications, data models, and reporting solutions.
• Identify opportunities to improve existing processes and reporting capabilities.
• Stay updated with the latest developments in SAP BW, SAC, and Power BI technologies.

ACADEMIC Qualifications

• A bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, or a related field. A master's degree is a plus.
• SAP Certification in BW, SAC, and related modules.
• Knowledge of data warehousing best practices and methodologies.
• SAP S4 and or BW/4HANA certification is an asset.

EXPERIENCE

• 7 plus years of experience in SAP BW, including data modeling, ETL, and reporting.
• Strong knowledge of SAP BW architecture and components.
• Experience with SAP ECC modules and data structures.
• Proficiency in SAP BW data extraction, transformation, and loading processes.
• Working knowledge of ABAP relevant to BW projects.
• At least 2 years of experience with SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC).
• Proficiency in Power BI development and integration with SAP BW.
• Experience with S4 migration and impacts to BW architecture is nice to have.
• Understanding of SAP Datasphere concepts and integration with various source systems is nice to have.
