What we are looking for:

  • Sales-Focused and Client-Centered: You're driven to close deals while delivering exceptional advice that builds long-term client relationships.
  • Experienced in Mortgages: You have experience with mortgage documentation and loan fulfillment in a financial institution.
  • Compliance-Minded: You ensure adherence to Homewise Policies and Procedures as part of our governance practices.
  • Organized and Self-Motivated: You thrive under deadlines, stay organized, and manage multiple tasks with attention to detail.
  • Tech-Savvy: You're comfortable working in a paperless, fully digital environment.
  • Customer-Obsessed: You're dedicated to delivering outstanding service and always putting our clients first.

Responsibilities:

  • Taking inbound leads & making outbound calls, online, by phone, or in person and converting them to closed mortgage applications (you will receive an average of 2-3 leads per day)
  • Driving your own self-sourced mortgage clients
  • Ensure a smooth mortgage application process for clients, provide insight and thought to continuously improve the customer experience, handling customer complaints, should they arise
  • Submit to Lawyers and Lenders
  • Ensure all lender conditions are met prior to closing to the closing date
  • Data entry into Filogix Expert and in the Homewise Relationship Manager, and other systems of our digital platform.
  • Maintaining your Certified Mortgage Agent designation (a must) based on your province of residence

Requirements:

  • Excellent digital environment skills. We mean by that you are very good with computers and office software packages (by the way, let us know if you are a touch typist). You need to know Filogix Expert
  • Mortgage underwriting (asset)
  • Mortgage sales experience
  • Self-motivated
  • Analytical: You can break down complex situations and provide solutions
  • Resourceful: Not to be a know it all but you will get the answers
  • Proactive: You enjoy being busy and productive throughout the day as this is a fast-paced environment
  • Positive attitude: We have a great team culture and so the candidate must be of this same mindset

Experience:

  • Mortgage Sales Agent/Advisor: 2 years (preferred)

Schedule:

  • Contract role, so time is managed by Advisor. However, provided leads are expected to have a Full Time approach.

  • Remote role, with the option to go into the office. With some in office team meetings and events.

Compensation:

  • Percentage split will be provided with offer but this is a commissioned role with no base salary
