VHH is looking for a unique role that will work closely with the CFO and the Executive Director to stand up the operations of the VHH entity.
This exciting opportunity will require someone that can work autonomously and collaboratively to scale up the operational and administrative side of the organization.
You will be a key member of the operational team and financial backbone of this purpose driven enterprise.

This role will report to the CFO, as well as being part of a team that provides strategic and operational initiatives to other team members and stakeholders.
The opportunity is unique in that the role will be one of the first and foundational hires in the organization and will assist with building the culture while also building and implementing the core components and key operational areas of the organization; financial preparation, reporting and oversight, forecasting & budgeting, analysis, governance & policy development, big picture and day-to-day operational strategies.

The Virtual Health Hub is set to transform our healthcare system and bridge the gaps in healthcare service delivery by offering services entirely remotely under a centralized, purposely designed state-of-the-art facility being built at the Whitecap Dakota Nation in Saskatchewan.

By connecting with local community healthcare providers and employing advanced remote presence technologies to provide a variety of services, patients can receive timely and high-quality treatment closer to home.

The Role

Strategic and Operational Leadership

• Work closely with the CFO and the Executive Director to develop and execute VHH's strategic and operational goals.
• Be a lead for organizational business and operational planning, reporting and analysis, annual budgeting, and audit processes.
  Inclusive of education in relation to financial and operational literacy to other members of the organization.
  Providing financial leadership and management to the staff and management of the organization.
• Build relationships within the organization and externally that will support and develop the entity efficiencies and drive growth and stability.

Financial Oversight & Governance

• Preparation and administration of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, ensuring timely, accurate and transparent reporting to internal and external stakeholders.
• In partnership with the CFO, manage compliance reporting, including tax filings, employee/employer remittances, and provincial registrations.
• Develop, implement, and optimize overall internal policies, procedures, and controls and develop and streamline financial processes for efficiency and effectiveness.
• Oversight of other operational activities such as HR, payroll, cash management, administrative items.

Operational Excellence

• In partnership with the CFO define, develop, and implement the operations strategy, framework, and processes to drive organizational efficiencies and success.
• Oversee the day-to-day operations of all programs and support services.
• Develop, lead, and mentor a finance and operations team, setting clear expectations and ensuring accountability.
• Manage internal and external relationships with all operational participants to ensure optimal service delivery and compliance.
• Develop and advance continuous improvement initiatives in service delivery, internal processes, and reporting.

• Experience in fast-paced and growing entities or start-up companies where having to wear more than one hat and work proactively and autonomously was required.
  Proven history as a leader and team player who delivers at the highest level.
• Strong financial acumen and ability to analyze complex data to inform strategy, and then communicate that strategy to other team members in an insightful and understanding way.
• Critical thinking skills with a focus on continuous process improvement and ensuring effective controls.
  The ability to creatively solve problems and be a solution finder.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills to collaborate and execute with cross-functional teams.
• Demonstrated ability to successfully coach and mentor team members and other enterprise members to achieve their full potential.
• Highly analytical, with a strategic mindset for operational and business affairs, and financial and economic management.
• Exceptional project management skills and implementation competence with the ability to prioritize objectives and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• A strong focus on cultural awareness and collaboration to progress the purpose-driven initiative.
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business, accounting, or a related field.
  CPA designated preferred.
  MBA would be a bonus.
• At least 5+ years of managerial and leadership experience in finance and operations.
• Expertise in financial reporting and analysis, governance and compliance, and budget and forecast development and management.
• Strong proficiency with Excel, Microsoft Office, and virtual collaboration tools.
• Familiarity and skill in identifying, selecting, and implementing systems
• Availability and desire to work in an office, and in collaboration with both remote and in-person settings.
• Bonus if you have experience finding, applying for, managing a variety of funding and grant initiatives, or experience working in the healthcare industry.
