Reporting to the Vice-President, Human Resources, the Director of OD will collaborate closely with senior leaders and key stakeholders to design and implement strategies that drive organizational effectiveness.
This includes leading initiatives in leadership development, employee engagement, workforce planning, and organizational design, while ensuring alignment with the organization's overall goals and culture.
The role will also support efforts to create a more inclusive and high-performing environment that encourages continuous learning and growth for all employees.

This role is pivotal in providing HR leadership, guidance, and partnership that enables the organization to have the right people, in the right place, at the right time, with the right skills, living our desired culture.

How will you do this?

1. Partner with senior leaders and key stakeholders to understand their needs and apply that insight in everything you do.
2. Equip yourself, your team, and the HR Business Partner team with the latest OD models and best practices, ensuring our strategies are innovative and effective.
3. Utilize data analytics to assess trends, measure effectiveness, and make informed decisions that guide strategies and improve organizational outcomes.
4. Balance big picture thinking with practical, hands-on execution.
   Use your OD knowledge to guide your creativity and deliver impactful solutions.
5. Understand the strengths and development needs of your team.
   Adapt your leadership style to mentor, coach, and support your team members to drive performance and growth.
6. Take a structured, organized approach to managing larger initiatives, ensuring efficiency, clear focus, and successful execution.
7. Drive Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion initiatives that foster an inclusive environment where all voices are heard, valued, and empowered.
8. Develop and implement succession planning strategies to identify, cultivate, and prepare future leaders, ensuring organizational continuity.
9. Design and enhance the Employee Value Proposition to attract, retain, and engage top talent by aligning organizational culture, benefits, and growth opportunities with employee needs and expectations.
10. Provide strategic workforce planning expertise and advise HRBPs and senior leaders on optimizing talent deployment to drive organizational success.

Typically, the Ideal Candidate would have:

1. Post-secondary education in Adult Education, Human Resources Management, or Organizational Development.
2. 5-7 years of experience in the design, development, delivery, and evaluation of adult learning and OD programs.
3. Experience working with the HRBP model.
4. Proven success in facilitating engaging learning sessions.
5. A solid track record in planning and managing projects, with a focus on delivering complex initiatives on time.
6. Expertise in tools such as Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Project, Visio, and SharePoint.
