The Business:

Our client is a prominent global Manufacturing and Engineering company with an turnover of $600 million. They offer comprehensive design, build, and repair services across diverse sectors including mining, oil and gas, marine, power generation, and manufacturing/engineering.

Package:

  • $140,000 - $160,000 base salary per year depending on experience + 20% bonus.
  • Car with business fuel fully paid
  • Pension 5%

The Role:

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Sales Manager to take ownership of promoting our client's full range of manufacturing parts, repairs, and services. This role will involve managing relationships with customers in the Province of Québec and the Maritimes, ensuring customer satisfaction from initial contact through to after-sales support.

The Sales Manager will play a crucial role in generating new sales, driving profitable orders, and meeting sales targets. The ideal candidate will have a solid track record in sales of industrial products and will be highly adept at managing the entire sales cycle, from identifying prospects to negotiating contracts and ensuring the timely delivery of products and services.

This position requires up 4 days a week 'on the road' and 1 day a week from home, you will be collaborating with internal teams such as engineering and production to ensure customer needs are met effectively. The ideal candidate will reside in East or South Québec.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Promote the full range of new products, repairs, and field services to new and existing customers.
  • Develop and execute a business plan aimed at the top 10 potential customers within the assigned region.
  • Generate and convert new sales leads into profitable orders, ensuring growth in line with company targets.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers at all levels, acting as their primary representative within the company.
  • Manage the sales process from enquiry through bid management, proposal creation, contract negotiation, and after-sales support.
  • Work closely with internal teams to ensure the timely and successful delivery of products and resolve any issues that arise.
  • Regularly update customer and sales data in Salesforce and SAP, and report sales activity to management.
  • Collaborate with the engineering division on field tests, providing feedback and ensuring customer satisfaction.
  • Provide after-sales support, managing projects through to completion, and ensuring that customer feedback is positive.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in sales or commercial representation of industrial products.
  • Strong business acumen, with the ability to plan, organise, and manage multiple priorities.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a focus on building strong customer relationships.
  • Advanced proficiency in Salesforce and SAP (experience with SolidWorks would be advantageous).
  • Attention to detail, with the ability to manage contracts, bids, and track orders accurately.
  • Experience in field service or repairs is a plus.
  • French-speaking and English fluency required.
