Quality Assurance Analyst 1-Year Contract

The British Columbia Maritime Employers Association (BCMEA) is looking for a Quality Assurance Analyst to help enhance the quality of our products and services we build.
The position will be responsible for both automation and manual testing.

This is a one-year contract, concluding at the end of December 2025.

Responsibilities

• Create, manage and execute test cases to ensure business requirements are met and product is free from defects using various testing techniques such as exploratory, ad-hoc, acceptance, integration and regression.
• Identify, document, report and track defects found during testing.
• Develop and execute test scripts and maintain test automation framework
• Collaborate with Developers, Business Analyst and peers to deliver high quality software in an Agile environment in a timely manner.
• Communicate and provide status reports on test progress, test results, risks and other relevant information to the test lead and management.

Qualifications

• Strong foundation in quality assurance methodologies, procedures and testing best practices
• 5+ years of experience in a Quality Assurance role with at least 2 years working with automation
• Experience with automation testing tools like Selenium/TestNG
• Experience in programming using C# or Java
• Degree in computer science or equivalent discipline
• Experience in testing mobile web applications
• Excellent interpersonal skills and able to communicate with wide range of audiences across the organization, including management

Nice to Have

• API testing experience with Postman or other tools
• Familiar with cloud-based testing tools like BrowserStack/Firebase
• Understanding of web development languages like HTML, CSS, and javascript
• Knowledge of SQL query language
• Knowledge of SDLC, Agile and Scrum methodology
