SOMMAIRE DU POSTE
Sous la supervision du Maître d'hôtel, le serveur restaurant doit servir les boissons et les mets à la clientèle du restaurant et s'assurer qu'ils ne manquent de rien. Il doit répondre aux besoins exprimés par ces derniers et même les anticiper. Il doit aussi exécuter toutes autres tâches connexes assignées par son superviseur.

DESCRIPTION DES TÂCHES
Effectuer la mise en place pour le service;
Décrire les mets disponibles;
Faire des suggestions de menus et des ventes complémentaires (vins et digestifs, fromages, produits exclusifs, etc.);
Faire la facturation, faire payer les clients et faire balancer la caisse (serveur du soir);
S'assurer de la satisfaction des clients (répondre à leurs besoins) et du bon déroulement du service;
Faire preuve d'initiative au niveau de la gestion des temps morts (ménage, mise en place supplémentaire, etc.);
Dresser les tables.
