Job Summary

As an Animal Care Clerk for our Toxicology team located in Senneville, you will be you will be responsible for the well-being of our laboratory animals. Your contribution will ensure the health of our animals, as well as the integrity of our pre-clinical studies.

In this role, primary responsibilities include:

• Cleaning the animal rooms
• Cleaning the animal cages
• Handling animals

Key Elements

If you possess the following qualifications, we will train you in the rest:

Able to work physically (lift up to 20 kg, walk, stand, stoop, etc.)
Understanding of written English is mandatory. Bilingualism French and English is preferable
You are able to follow precises instructions (procedures)
You like animals

Please note that upon being hired, you will have to undergo an annual tuberculosis test at the expense of the company.

Role Specific Information:

Location: 22022 Trans-Canada Highway, Senneville, Qc, H9X 1C1

Salary: $18.50 per hour with primes of :
- Evenings: $2.50
- Weekend: $2.75
- Overtime: Time and a half
- Holidays: Double time

Schedule:
- Permanent, full-time position
- Horaire de soir du Lundi au Vendredi et les jours fériés. Selon les besoins, il pourrait y avoir du temps supplémentaire. L'horaire pendant la formation sera de jour pour les 2 premières semaines (08:00-16:15) et par la suite de 10:00 à 18:15 pendant 3 mois.
- Regular schedules: Monday to Friday (14:00 to 22:15) with overtime if needed. For the first 2 weeks, it will be a day schedule (08:00 to 16:15) and then, 10:00 to 18:15 for 3 months.

Transportation:
- We offer a free shuttle service from the Sainte-Anne-de-Bellevue train station and John Abbott College to the Senneville site
- If you come by car, we also have free parking
