HOURS: Full time, permanent. 40 hours per week, Monday - Friday 8:00am - 5:00pm,

WAGES: $65,000 - $105,000 salary + benefits (negotiable and commensurate with experience and qualifications)

Centennial Auto Group is seeking a passionate and driven leader to take charge of the accounting team for our 11 collision centers across PEI, New Brunswick, and Nova Scotia. As the Accounting Manager, you will oversee daily bookkeeping operations, ensure accuracy, and guide the team while collaborating with store management and reporting to our CFO, Bruce Burden. APPLICABLE SKILLS:

Post-secondary education in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline; candidates with a professional accounting designation will be given priority.
Minimum of 3 to 5 years of accounting experience.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (particularly Excel) and Google Workspace.
Strong strategic financial management and analytical skills.
Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Strong organizational abilities with attention to detail.
Automotive experience considered an asset.
Experience with QuickBooks software is an asset.
Self-motivated with a strong sense of pride in work, inspiring the same in the team.

JOB TASKS:

Prepare monthly financial and operational reports.
Develop and maintain internal control policies and procedures.
Monitor and assist with day-to-day accounting and inventory processes.
Ensure all month-end and periodic reports are completed on a timely and accurate basis.
Full cycle accounting including month-end and year-end close processes, journal entries, invoicing, bank reconciliations, and general ledger reconciliations.
Prepare monthly financial statements.
Work closely with store management to manage balance sheets, inventory, and expense analysis.
Monitor cash balances, payables, receivables, and floor plan financing.
Ensure all standard accounting policies, procedures and controls are consistently and accurately applied.
Perform additional accounting responsibilities as required.
Provide leadership, guidance, and mentorship to accounting team fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional growth.
