Position
The Budget & Contracts Specialist will facilitate research at UHN by reviewing, negotiating and drafting unencumbered research funding agreements with third parties such as national and international government funding agencies, charities, private foundations and with research institutions including hospitals and universities.
Such agreements are required to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations, national and international standards and UHN policies and to mitigate risk to UHN.
The Budget & Contract Specialist will work closely with the Grant Officers/Specialist and Research Agreement Specialists and support the translation of grant budgets into inter-institutional agreements.
Additionally, the incumbent will act as a resource to provide funder/agency budget and related policy requirements advice to other RSS departments.
