Summary:

The Junior Reliability & Maintenance Engineers will take a hands-on approach at our production facilities, gaining in-depth knowledge of critical equipment, historical breakdowns, and their root causes.
Collaborating with our Engineering, Maintenance, and Operations teams, they will develop and implement maintenance programs aimed at eliminating root causes, creating risk mitigation strategies, and optimizing preventive maintenance processes to minimize equipment downtime.

This role reports to the Regional Engineering leaders while working closely with the Manufacturing, Continuous Improvement and Maintenance teams at each site to drive operational excellence and reliability.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with the maintenance team during preventive maintenance activities to develop a thorough understanding of equipment functionality and operation
• Partner with Engineering and Maintenance teams to identify and prioritize critical areas affecting equipment reliability
• Analyze existing preventive maintenance programs, pinpoint gaps, and recommend improvements to enhance effectiveness and efficiency
• Work closely with maintenance planners to ensure the seamless execution of preventive maintenance activities at the site
• Assist the maintenance team in creating and maintaining an inventory of critical spare parts to ensure operational continuity
• Conduct assessments of equipment conditions to determine if overhauls or replacements are required
• Develop comprehensive requirement plans for capital expenditures related to equipment upgrades or replacements
• Collaborate with the Maintenance team to organize and optimize maintenance shops for maximum productivity
• Participate in the implementation and adoption of maintenance-related software tools to streamline operations
• Undertake additional engineering and maintenance-related responsibilities as assigned

About You:

• Post-secondary education in Mechanical Engineering is required
• Prior experience in manufacturing and maintenance is a strong asset but not mandatory
• A genuine interest in hands-on work within a manufacturing and maintenance environment
• Exceptional communication and time management skills, with the ability to multitask efficiently
• Strong organizational, analytical and problem-solving abilities
• A passion for thriving in dynamic environments with shifting priorities

• Willingness to travel regularly
