Jayne's Luxury Rentals is a luxury private villa rental company that has been offering unparalleled private villa vacation rental experiences and concierge services in Muskoka for 10 years. We are now launching in Whistler BC. Catering to the affluent clientele, we are seeking an experienced Director of Sales to spearhead our B2B Business Development with the luxury travel trade market.

Position Overview

The Director of Sales - B2B Business Development position will be responsible for leading Jayne's B2B sales and strategic partnerships in the global market. This key role will drive business development efforts in the luxury travel sector, focusing on building relationships with travel advisors, agencies, consortia, and other service providers, while managing an independent representation agency to maximize growth opportunities.

Role Objectives

  • Expand B2B Network: Build and maintain strategic relationships with travel advisors, luxury travel consortia, special interest groups, and affluent clientele service providers
  • Maximize Representation Agency ROI: Oversee the third-party representation agency, Dominique Dubay, to drive continued market growth and optimize the agency's impact on sales
  • Revenue Growth: Increase sales through targeted outreach, partnerships, consortia, wholesale agreements, and long-term contracts with North American partners
  • Brand Leadership: Establish Jayne's Luxury Rentals as the leading choice for luxury private villa rentals in Muskoka and Whistler, and elevate Muskoka as the newest luxury global travel destination

Key Responsibilities

  • B2B Business Development:
  • Develop and implement a strategic sales plan for North American market penetration, identifying growth opportunities in luxury travel segments
  • Facilitate partnerships with travel agencies, tour operators, and luxury travel consortia (e.g., Virtuoso, Signature Travel Network)
  • Negotiate agreements for group sales, MICE opportunities, and shoulder season bookings
  • Attend industry events, road shows, and international conferences (e.g., ILTM, LE Miami) to represent Jayne's Luxury Rentals
  • Work with the marketing team to develop media, PR, and editorial opportunities with trade publications
  • Representation Agency Management:
  • Manage and collaborate with the Dominique Dubay agency to maximize sales and enhance market impact
  • Attend road shows and sales trips, including one annual trip to New York and Los Angeles
  • Work closely with DD on training initiatives, marketing campaigns, and market-specific promotions
  • Organize Fam Trips for high-potential agents during the off-season to foster stronger relationships
  • Sales Leadership:
  • Drive the sales process from lead generation to closing deals, ensuring exceptional service and client satisfaction
  • Work with internal teams (reservations, operations, marketing) to ensure seamless service delivery.
  • Collaborate on B2B targeted campaigns and promotions with Marketing Manager
  • Prepare end-of-season reports on sales performance, market trends, and agency impact

Critical Success Factors:

  • Prior experience in Sales in the B2B Luxury Travel Trade industry
  • Knowledge of the Muskoka market, the more the better
  • Knowledge about the HNW target guest

Compensation:

This is a full-time, exclusive role with Jayne's Luxury Rentals. Compensation is a combination of a monthly retainer and commission, with all office and travel-related expenses paid by Jayne's.

Qualifications:

  • Experience and strong network in the B2B luxury travel sector - please do not apply without direct experience in sales in the B2B travel industry
  • Exceptional negotiation, presentation, and relationship-building skills
  • Comfortable posting social media professionally
  • Proficiency in sales analytics tools, CRM platforms, data-driven decision-making, and Microsoft suite of products and Canva
  • Entrepreneurial mindset, capable of working independently and driving initiatives to completion
  • Deep understanding of luxury travel trends and high-net-worth clientele preferences
  • Warm, understanding, honest, outgoing, team player
  • Muskoka market knowledge is an asset
