Unilux is a leading manufacturer of HVAC equipment for high rise residential developments across North America. Unilux offers the following product lines for new construction projects:

• Vertical stack fan coils, heat pumps and hybrid heat pumps. All available with integrated ERV

• Horizontal fan coils, heat pumps and hybrid heat pumps

Unilux is looking for an experience engineering professional to lead our engineering team as Vice President of Engineering.

The Vice President of Engineering at Unilux HVAC Industries Inc. will be responsible for overseeing all engineering activities within the company. This role involves strategic planning, leadership, and management of the engineering team to ensure the successful design, development, and delivery of innovative HVAC products.

Key Roles and Responsibilities

• Leadership and Management:
Lead, mentor, and manage the engineering team, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and excellence. Ensure the team is adequately resourced and supported to meet project milestones and deliverables.

• Strategic Planning:
Develop and implement the engineering department's strategic vision in alignment with the company's long-term goals. Identify and prioritize projects that will drive growth and improve product offerings.

• Product Development:
Oversee the design, development, and testing of new HVAC products, ensuring they meet market demands, regulatory requirements, and company standards for quality and performance.

• Project Management:
Manage engineering projects from conception through completion, including budgeting, scheduling, and resource allocation. Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the desired quality standards.

• Technical Expertise:
Provide technical guidance and expertise to the engineering team, resolving complex engineering challenges and ensuring the application of best practices and engineering standards.

• Quality Assurance:
Implement and maintain robust quality assurance processes to ensure the reliability and performance of all products. Conduct regular reviews and audits to identify areas for improvement.

• Collaboration:
Work closely with other departments, including sales, marketing, and manufacturing, to ensure cohesive and efficient product development processes. Foster strong relationships with key stakeholders and clients.

• Innovation and Improvement:
Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the engineering department, leveraging new technologies and methodologies to enhance product design, manufacturing processes, and overall efficiency.

• Compliance:
Ensure all engineering activities comply with relevant industry standards, regulations, and certifications. Stay updated with the latest advancements and changes in the HVAC industry to maintain a competitive edge.

• Reporting and Documentation:
Maintain comprehensive documentation of all engineering processes, projects, and activities. Provide regular reports and updates to senior management on the progress and performance of the engineering department.
