As an Occupational Therapist with VHA, you will be working with a diverse group of pediatric clients in their homes and schools, using evidence-based best practices to assess and provide consultation, recommendations, and interventions.
You will ensure coordinated delivery of care through ongoing communication with the client care team, problem-solve in collaboration with the client and care team to create opportunities for more independence, and promote VHA's core beliefs and values.

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

Your key responsibilities will include:

Assessing and implementing occupational therapy interventions in accordance with professional practice guidelines and standards established by VHA and the relevant regulatory college.
Implementing client interventions based on assessment information, client input, and in conjunction with the client's integrated care plan.
Ensuring that services provided are best practice, evidence-based, and evaluated through the routine use of valid and reliable outcome measures.
Ensuring coordinated delivery of care through ongoing communication with all members of the client's team regarding plans and schedules for interventions.
Documenting all assessment findings, treatment plans, progress, and discharge summaries of interventions as required by the profession, referral source, and the organization.

Required Qualifications

To be considered for this role, you will need to have a Degree in Occupational Therapy from a recognized school of Occupational Therapy, be a member in good standing with the College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario, and hold a valid Driver's License with access to a vehicle.
Additionally, you will need to be compassionate and empathetic, self-driven with the ability to work independently, skilled in caseload management, skilled at electronic documentation, able to provide virtual care, and a registered ADP authorizer (asset).

What We Offer

VHA offers a competitive salary range of $85,000-$110,000 per year, commensurate with experience, plus comprehensive benefits and pension plan for permanent eligible employees.
