Full Stack Solution Architect

Responsibilities

• Architect and Design Solutions:
  Lead the architecture and design of full-stack systems using technologies such as HTML5, CSS, JavaScript/TypeScript, C#, ASP.NET Core, MVC, Entity Framework, Angular, and .NET Framework 6+.
• Strategic Leadership:
  Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business goals and translate them into robust technical solutions that balance innovation and scalability.
• Technology Oversight:
  Define and enforce best practices in software development, code quality, and system performance.
• Cross-Team Collaboration:
  Partner with developers, UX designers, and business analysts to ensure seamless integration and functionality of systems.
• Continuous Improvement:
  Evaluate and implement emerging technologies to enhance software performance, maintainability, and security.
• Database Strategy:
  Develop and guide data architecture strategies, leveraging MS SQL Server and other database technologies to ensure reliable and optimized data storage solutions.
• Microservices and Containerization:
  Design and implement distributed systems using microservices architecture, with expertise in various design patterns. Leverage containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes for scalable, portable, and efficient solutions.
• Mentorship and Guidance:
  Provide technical leadership, mentoring team members in modern architectural practices, tools, and frameworks.
• Client Engagement:
  Act as a technical advisor, engaging with clients to align solutions with their unique needs and long-term strategies.

Requirements

Professional Experience:

• 10+ years in software development, with 5+ years in a solution architect or equivalent leadership role.
• Expertise in Angular (versions 11+), ASP.NET, .NET 6+, C#, and full-stack development.

Interpret Business Needs:

• Participate/Lead Requirement Analysis and Design sessions.
• Translate business and technical requirements into an architectural blueprint to achieve business objectives.
• Document all solution architecture design and analysis work for transparency and future reference.

Assess Technology:

• Understand emerging technology trends and disruptions, applying them practically to enable new and evolving business and operating models.
• Analyze the technology industry, competitors, and market trends to determine their potential implications for proposed solutions.
• Stay ahead of the curve by evaluating and adopting new technologies to enhance software performance, maintainability, and security.

Work with Project Managers:

• Collaborate with project managers to ensure the execution of plans aligns with promises made throughout the project lifecycle.

Technical Proficiency:

• Advanced understanding of modern web application architecture, including APIs, routing, security, optimization, and responsive design.
• Experience with mobile or cross-platform development (e.g., Xamarin, MAUI).
• Fluency in relational and NoSQL databases, including SQL Server and MariaDB.

Leadership Skills:

• Strong ability to guide cross-functional teams and foster a collaborative environment.
• Proven track record of delivering solutions that align with client goals and exceed expectations.

Technical Tools:

• Proficiency in Git, Azure DevOps, and cloud platforms (Azure preferred, AWS and GCP a plus).
• Docker and containerization expertise.

Soft Skills:

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with diverse teams and stakeholders.

Our Toronto office is located at 200 Yorkland Blvd., with easy access from the 401, DVP, and 404.
