We are seeking a skilled Registered Dental Hygienist to join our team, providing patient care and support in a fast-paced environment. Here are the key responsibilities and requirements of the role:
• Providing patient care and support in an enthusiastic way, building a personal connection at every visit.
• Ensuring patients receive optimal hygiene treatment based on clinical findings and their goal for comprehensive oral health.
• Collecting patient's dental and relevant medical history, to reference during examinations.
• Preparing patients for the Orthodontist.
• Taking X-Rays and following all safety procedures as required.
• Examining gums for infections or gum disease.
• Cleaning patient's teeth to remove plague, polish, floss and brush.
• Educating patients on good oral hygiene habits and treatment progress.
• Updating patient records and examination notes.
• Maintaining a positive attitude and work cohesively with fellow team members to provide an atmosphere of trust, respect, and cooperation.
Requirements:
• 2+ years' experience as a Dental Hygienist is preferred.
• Experience in an orthodontic office is preferred.
• Successful completion of a Dental Hygiene Diploma or Hygiene Degree program.
• Registered and/or licensed by the dental hygiene regulatory authority within the province, in good standing.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; written and verbal, and an ability to make patients feel comfortable and at ease.
• Current CPR and First Aid training.
