Overview

We are seeking a Carbon Capture and Storage Specialist to join Petroleum Engineering/Oil Reservoir Management Department.

Petroleum Engineering/Oil Reservoir Management Department is responsible for developing and managing world-class fields, reservoirs, and reserves, leveraging cutting-edge technology and innovation at our state-of-the-art Exploration and Petroleum Engineering Center in Dhahran, Saudi Arabia. Our organization also conducts pioneering research, introduces new technologies, and provides engineering services as part of our customized reservoir management practices.

As a Carbon Capture and Storage Specialist you will be responsible to coordinate and lead the development and Implementation of Carbon Capture, utilization and storage (CCUS).

Key Responsibilities

As a successful candidate you will be required to perform the following:

Coordinate and lead complex studies related to the planning, development, and implementation of CCUS projects.
Technical review and qualification of CO2 capture and sequestration technologies.
Support the development of the company's CO2 capture and sequestration technologies.
Provide management with up-to-date trends, technologies, and new developments related to the CCUS Industry.

Minimum Requirements

As a successful candidate you will hold a:

Bachelor's degree in Petroleum, Chemical, or Mechanical Engineering from an accredited university. Advanced degree is a plus.
Minimum of 15 years of experience including at least 10 years of experience in CO2 storage projects and a strong understanding of its geological and engineering considerations as well as the various trapping mechanisms, either in saline formations or depleted oil and gas reservoirs.
Expertise of various stages of the Carbon Capture, utilization and storage (CCUS) processes and related technologies including: capture processes and technologies (e. g. , Chemical absorption, Physical separation), CO2 transport mechanisms and its economic considerations, CO2 storage mechanisms, and the various uses of CO2.
Familiarity with the various costs across the entire Carbon Capture, utilization and storage (CCUS) values chain.
Knowledge of the different policy/regulatory frameworks that have allowed the successful development of Global Carbon Capture, utilization and storage (CCUS) projects.
Knowledge of carbon related policies such as: carbon tax, cap-and-trade, carbon pricing.
