Drill and blast, especially with pit construction experienceKey ResponsibilitiesManagement:
Manage the Mining Engineering, Surveying, Geotechnical, Environmental, and Data Management staff.Oversee blasting operations, manage engineers, and ensure smooth operations.Performance management of direct reports to meet targets.Technical:
Ensure designs, planning, measuring, recording, and reporting of mining, environmental, and pit development activities are conducted to improve operational and financial effectiveness.Ultimate responsibility for drill & blast design and scheduling of operations.Maintain and enhance mine planning and design for all aspects of the mine workings.Ensure environmental monitoring is conducted to relevant standards and frequencies.Safety & Compliance:
Assist the project manager with the implementation and maintenance of the Project Safety & Health Management Plan (SHMP).Utilize feedback from OCE, SSHR, and Supervisors to implement corrective actions.Ensure all incidents are reported according to procedures.Manage geotechnical issues and engage specialist advice as required.Team4 direct reports:
