Agilus is recruiting for a Mechanical & Piping Designer in the manufacturing industry in Sarnia, Ontario.Our client ARLANXEO is seeking a Mechanical & Piping Designer to join their team.ARLANXEO is a world-leading synthetic rubber company with sales at approximately EUR 3.2 billion, about 3,800 employees and a presence in 20 production sites in nine countries.
The company's core business is the development, manufacturing and marketing of high-performance rubber for use in, the automotive and tire industries, the construction industry, and the oil and gas industries.
ARLANXEO is a wholly owned subsidiary of Saudi Aramco.
The Sarnia location is the headquarters for ARLANXEO Canada Inc.
Focused on the production of synthetic rubber, the Sarnia facility is a major supplier to both domestic and international markets and employs over 300 employees.
ARLANXEO's TSR products are used primarily in the tire and automotive industries but are also found in a wide variety of industrial and consumer markets.Responsibilities:
Prepare AutoCAD drafted piping & instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs), based on Process Engineer sketchesPrepare AutoCAD Plant 3D models, 2D CAD piping isometrics, 2D CAD general arrangements, and mechanical bill of materialsPlant 3D administration (updating component libraries).
Conduct 3D model review sessions with project stakeholdersProvide piping support during construction.
Prepare As-Builts of mechanical / piping during project closurePrepare mechanical / piping designer manhour estimates.
Interact with a multi-discipline Engineer & designer project teamAssist Project Engineer with Engineering schedule development / updatesMaintain record drawing list registers for production plantFocus on maintaining / building Production Plant relationshipsSuccessful candidates will have:
1 to 5 years practical project experience with the following areas would be an asset:
