Job Overview:

Handle the loading of outgoing shipments onto trucks for timely delivery to stores, ensuring that shipments are loaded accurately, safely, and according to schedule.

Responsibilities:

  1. Efficiently load outgoing shipments onto trucks using appropriate equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, or hand trucks.
  2. Run query and clear up unshipped transfers / status 2.
  3. Ensure that all outbound shipments are loaded accurately, matching the corresponding shipping documents and adhering to specific customer requirements.
  4. Complete distribution center inventory counts as required.
  5. Proactively identify and resolve any issues or challenges that may arise during the loading process, such as damaged goods, discrepancies in inventory counts, or logistical delays.

Communication & Documentation:

  1. Communicate effectively with warehouse staff, truck drivers, and others to coordinate loading schedules, address any issues or concerns, and provide updates on shipment status.
  2. Complete all necessary paperwork accurately and in a timely manner, including shipping manifests, load sheets, and inventory records.
  3. Maintain a professional and courteous demeanor when interacting with truck drivers and other personnel, fostering good working relationships.

Maintenance & Equipment:

  1. Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines while operating equipment and handling shipments to prevent accidents or injuries.
  2. Perform routine maintenance checks on equipment and report any malfunctions or maintenance needs to supervisors promptly.
  3. Maintain a well-organized dock area, ensuring that outgoing shipments are staged appropriately and that inventory levels are accurately tracked.
  4. Maintain general housekeeping duties according to the '5S' at the end of each shift (Sort, Set in Order, Shine, Standardize, Sustain).

Requirements

Education and Experience:

High School Diploma or Equivalent, 3 years' related work experience.
