JOB SUMMARY:

The Programmer/Analyst - Salesforce is responsible for the configuration, customization, and ongoing support of our Salesforce Service Cloud platform. The Programmer/Analyst - Salesforce collaborates with stakeholders to gather requirements, implement solutions, and provide training and support to end-users, and is also responsible for the development and maintenance of reports, dashboards, and workflows to improve operational efficiency, while ensuring that the platform remains up-to-date and aligned with business needs.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Configure and customize Salesforce objects, fields, and page layouts.
2. Develop custom reports and dashboards to track key metrics and provide insights.
3. Provide training and support to end-users on Salesforce functionality.
4. Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and implement solutions.
5. Stay up-to-date on Salesforce releases and new features.
6. Maintain and apply knowledge of the application landscape, partnering with technical and functional staff to improve usage of Salesforce to ensure full capabilities are being leveraged.
7. Lead day-to-day activities and ensure that issues are brought to the attention of the appropriate colleague and/or supervisor for resolution.
8. Lead the coordination and administration of security privileges for users in alignment with stakeholder needs and consideration of potential segregation of duties.
9. Apply understanding of core operational business needs and processes to ensure transactional changes on downstream processes and systems are considered.
10. Responsible for CRM Salesforce process design, including creation, review, and approval of detailed 'to be' business scenarios, processes, workflows, and use cases.
11. Coordinate and/or facilitate delivery of updates to existing solutions or implementation of new solutions through adherence to best practices for change management.
12. Create and maintain reference documentation for changes and support activities.
13. Act as the point of contact and coordinate input from the subject matter experts and participate in solution strategy development and implementation as well as technical stewardship.
14. Oversee activities in collaboration with cross-functional stakeholders and vendors.
15. Clarify complex concepts/proposals in terms that are appropriate to the audience and present information clearly and concisely.
16. Coordinate and/or facilitate testing, validation, and deployment activities, coordinating efforts among internal staff and support partners to configure/update and upgrade for systems.
17. Build long-term relationships or partnerships with internal/external clients and suppliers to support business needs.
18. Perform other related duties as required.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

1. Post-secondary education in a related field such as Computer Science or Information Technology.
2. A combination of formal training and relevant experience may substitute for academic requirement.
3. Minimum 3 years experience in Salesforce administration.
4. Experience with Apex, Visualforce, and/or Lightning Web Components.
5. Excellent communication, problem-solving, and project management skills.
6. Experience in managing multiple priorities in a service-oriented customer environment.
7. Experience with ITIL and change management best practices.
8. Salesforce Administrator certification or equivalent experience considered an asset.
9. Experience developing strategic partnerships across functional areas considered an asset.
10. Strong computer skills; proficient in the use of office productivity and collaboration tools, preferably G Suite.
11. English essential, both oral and written; Bilingual (French/English) considered an asset.

This is a management group opportunity and salary will be commensurate with qualifications.

Hydro Ottawa offers a Hybrid Work Model. Hybrid work is position specific, the details of which the hybrid model will be discussed with successful candidates.

$111,775.67
