Our client is seeking an experienced, results-driven Personal Injury Lawyer to join our client's dynamic legal team.
As a key member of the firm, you will be responsible for handling a diverse caseload that includes all areas of personal injury law.
The ideal candidate will have 3 or more years of experience in personal injury, strong advocacy skills, and the ability to manage client relationships while delivering outstanding results.
Key Responsibilities:
Client Representation:
Represent clients in all different types of personal injury cases.Case Management:
Manage all aspects of personal injury cases from inception to resolution, including legal research, document preparation, filing, and court appearances.Negotiation & Settlement:
Negotiate settlements with insurance companies and opposing counsel to achieve fair compensation for clients.Litigation:
Handle litigation matters, including drafting pleadings, motions, and other legal documents, as well as representing clients in trial and pre-trial hearings.Client Relations:
Maintain regular communication with clients, keeping them informed on case progress, explaining legal issues, and providing sound advice.Legal Strategy:
Develop and implement legal strategies tailored to each client's needs, and advocate for the client's best interests both inside and outside the courtroom.Collaboration:
Work closely with support staff, paralegals, and other legal professionals to ensure efficient case progression.
Qualifications:
Education:
Juris Doctor (JD) or equivalent law degree from an accredited institution.Experience:
Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in personal injury law, with a proven track record of successful settlements and/or trial outcomes.Knowledge:
Strong knowledge of personal injury law and relevant case law, as well as a solid understanding of the Ontario legal system.Skills:
Excellent written and oral communication skills, strong negotiation abilities, and the capacity to manage multiple cases simultaneously.Client-Focused:
Demonstrated ability to build and maintain positive client relationships, providing personalized attention and support throughout the legal process.
Preferred Attributes:
Strong work ethic with a passion for advocacy and client service.Ability to work independently while also thriving in a collaborative team environment.Experience in dealing with complex personal injury cases and high-value claims.A background in handling both pre-litigation and litigation matters in personal injury law.
