Senior Site Reliability Engineer - Remote

As a Senior Site Reliability Engineer, you will specialize in creating solutions that help improve automation and efficiencies across all internal teams.
You will be expected to drive automation, operational excellence, and support our customer facing applications and infrastructure.
This will require creative thinking combined with deep domain expertise in the areas of Linux systems administration, configuration management, performance tuning, and hardware engineering.

As a Senior Site Reliability Engineer, you will be responsible for:

1. Providing support and mentorship for other SRE engineers within the department
2. Defining requirements as part of the product lifecycle to influence the new designs and standards
3. Providing support, leadership, and motivation for project teams
4. Collaborating with our support, operations, and engineering teams to investigate and troubleshoot complex problems
5. Developing and improving automation to support daily activities and reduce toil
6. Improving our system monitoring to speed error detection and remediation, enhancing performance and reliability of virtualization platform
7. Participating in on-call rotations, guiding restoration and repair of service-impacting issues

Do what you love

To be successful in this role you will:

• Have relevant academic or industrial experience and a Bachelor's diploma in Computer Science or related engineering field
• Possess expert level experience in a SysAdmin (Linux/Unix Administration), DevOps or Software engineering role, working with distributed systems
• Possess at least one programming language (Python/Golang) and configuration management with Terraform/SaltStack/Ansible
• Have experience with architecting software and infrastructure at scale
• Be able to work in alignment with strategic business initiatives and coordinate the work of other engineers
• Possess informed opinions on technology and software design to bring to the table
