POSITION SUMMARY:

The mandate of the role is to provide ongoing administration oversight of the entire Mortgage portfolio, by delivering high-quality service and efficient processes to the Bank's Clients and internal departments to keep pace with growth and evolving business needs, as well as ensure the Bank's collateral continues to be sound and secure by completing processes in accordance with the Bank's policy.

MAJOR ELEMENTS OF THE ROLE:

Power of Attorney Management:

1. Draft, review, and process power of attorney documents
2. Ensure POA documents are legally compliant and properly executed
3. Maintain accurate records of active POAs and update systems accordingly
4. Communicate with clients, legal counsel, and stakeholders to ensure POA needs are understood and properly documented

Severance Package Administration:

1. Review and administer severance agreements in compliance with company policies and employment laws
2. Coordinate with legal teams and payroll departments to ensure severance payments are timely and accurate
3. Ensure the terms of severance agreements meet legal and regulatory requirements
4. Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive client information securely

Client and Employee Communication:

1. Serve as a point of contact for individuals regarding POA and severance matters
2. Provide guidance to internal teams and external stakeholders on legal documentation procedures

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

Qualifications and Technical Expertise:

1. A University Degree, College Diploma or equivalent work experience
2. Prior experience of handling legal documents/agreements
3. Progressive related experience, preferably in Financial Services
4. Knowledge of residential mortgage products and the Bank's policies and business processes
5. Solid technical skills in Excel, Outlook, Word, Access
6. Knowledge of Privacy and AML legislation an asset
7. Bilingual (French and English) an asset

2. Excellent verbal and communication skills
3. Requires extended periods of talking on the phone and sitting
4. Well organized, effective time management and ability to independently handle high volumes of work
5. Ability to handle confidential client information with discretion
6. Focused on delivering a positive customer experience.
7. HEB's Hybrid work model - requirement to work in office a minimum of 3 days per week.
