ABOUT YOU:

You have 1-3 years of M&A experience, with at least two completed transactions under your belt, gained through investment banking, private equity, or transaction advisory roles. Your strong financial acumen and analytical mindset allow you to assess market trends, conduct due diligence, and support deal execution with precision. You bring a deep understanding of financial modeling, valuation methodologies, and corporate finance principles. Your experience enables you to identify and evaluate strategic growth opportunities, particularly within the PropTech and energy sectors. You are comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and collaborating with senior stakeholders to drive corporate development initiatives forward. You hold a BComm or BBA from a top Canadian university, and possess excellent problem-solving skills, a proactive approach, and the ability to synthesize complex data into actionable insights.

THE ROLE:

We are seeking a highly analytical and motivated Corporate Development Analyst to join our dynamic team. This role is instrumental in supporting financial modeling, FP&A, market research, deal execution, and strategic initiatives. The ideal candidate will bring a blend of strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a collaborative mindset to help identify, evaluate, and execute opportunities that align with the company's growth strategy.

Duties and Responsibilities

Market and Industry Analysis:

o Conduct market research to identify trends, competitive landscapes,

and potential growth opportunities

o Analyze industry reports and assess market dynamics to support

strategic decision-making.

Financial Analysis and Modeling:

o Build and maintain detailed financial models to evaluate potential

M&A opportunities, joint ventures, and other strategic investments

o Perform valuation analyses using various methodologies, including

discounted cash flow (DCF), recedent transactions, and comparable

company analysis.

Strategic Initiative Support:

o Collaborate with cross-functional teams to assess strategic initiatives

and their potential impact on the business.

o Support strategic planning and long-term growth initiatives in

partnership with senior leadership.

Deal Execution:

o Assist in due diligence processes by gathering and analyzing relevant

data and coordinating with internal and external stakeholders.

o Prepare presentations, investment memos, and other materials for

senior management and board review.

Partnership Development:

o Support the evaluation and negotiation of strategic partnerships,

alliances, and licensing agreements.

Performance Monitoring:

o Track and analyze the performance of executed deals and their

integration into the business.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education:

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Commerce, or Business Administration from a top tier Canadian University
MBA/MFin considered an asset

Experience:

1-3 years of experience in investment banking, private equity, corporate development, management consulting, or a similar analytical role.
Experience in technology M&A is considered a strong asset.

Skills:

Strong analytical and financial modeling skills.
Excellent proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and data visualization tools.
Familiarity with valuation techniques and financial statement analysis.
Excellent communication and presentation skills.
High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Team-oriented with a proactive, problem-solving mindset.

Salary Range: US$70,000-US$80,000

Pay in lieu of Benefits: 5% of salary

Pension/RRSP Match: up to 4% of salary

Bonus: The position will participate in the bonus plan with a target of 15%
