About the Role

The Sales Director is a highly motivated team player with experience in sales, customer relations & account management with strong background in high touch complex business events, conferences and global incentive travel. This role will be responsible for supporting, identifying, and qualifying new opportunities to generate target pipeline growth for new meetings management opportunities. Ongoing strong client relationships and account management will be a key focus area for this role.

This person will also dedicate 25- 50% of their time to prospecting, identifying leads and new business targets through telephone, email, industry networking, push/pull marketing campaigns and in person

What You Bring

• 6+ years experience in sales within the MICE and Incentive Travel Market
• Post-secondary education in business, sales, marketing, or a related field.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Executive-level customer service expertise.
• Strong negotiation and presentation skills.
• Business, financial, and political acumen.
• Deep understanding of contracts and contract governance.
• In-depth knowledge of the sales process and customer needs.
• Willingness to travel as needed.

What You'll Do

• Increase revenues through new client acquisition, expansion, and retention.
• Support strategic relationships and meet profitability targets.
• Ensure timely submission of client-facing collateral and up-sell opportunities.
• Maintain consistent information flow with Wynford personnel.
• Create business plans for client acquisition and new business.
• Maintain a prospect pipeline to meet goals.
• Identify customer opportunities for meetings, events, and engagement solutions.
• Conduct thorough assessments and strategic sales approaches for new accounts.
• Develop creative, cost-effective plans and identify competitive threats.
• Understand various meeting types and destinations to support customer programs.
• Build and maintain relationships with key prospects and clients, introducing Wynford senior management as needed.
• Consult on pricing to ensure profit guidelines are met.
• Coordinate contract negotiations and oversee proposal development.
• Ensure all client negotiations and pricing are consistent with company policies.
• Assess opportunities and respond to competitor threats.
• Oversee new business implementation with operations, creative, and implementation teams.
• Ensure documentation for handover to account owners is complete.
• Make informed recommendations and develop creative plans to meet client objectives.
• Work with internal teams to develop client responses and ensure collateral is current and consistent with branding.
