Our Client, a global renowned IT company (An American multinational company, specializing in information technology services and consulting worldwide; A Fortune Global 500 company), End Client: Financial Industry based in Canada is looking for multiple AIX Administrator with below skillsets:

We are looking for multiple AIX Administrator with below skillsets:

• 9 -12+ years of relevant experience as an "Senior / AIX Administrator" (Must-have)
• Proficiency in managing large-scale AIX environments.
• Successful implementation of system upgrades and migrations.
• Experience in disaster recovery planning and execution.
• Record of maintaining high system availability and performance.

Overview of program
This Project is to migrate the production environment to Supplier's new Data Centre and the disaster recovery environment to Supplier's existing Data Centre.

• The production and the disaster recovery environments at the new Data Center locations will be greenfield build-outs in parallel with existing Infrastructure: Network, Servers, Storage, Mainframe, telco circuits, and 3rd party subscriptions and services.

• Applications, Middleware, and Operating Systems will be reloaded with the same services as the origin. Data mirroring will be established to replicate data between the Data Center locations.

• Supplier shall comply with the Customer destruction policies while decommissioning and/or disposing any assets that contain Customer Data. Supplier will encrypt data in transit and at rest in the production and disaster recovery environments at the new Data Center locations.

• The Project is in progress and Supplier has commenced activities in connection with the Project. The expected dates for Supplier's completion of the Project are:

• Cutover of old Disaster Recovery to existing DC - July 2025
• Decommissioning old DR Data Center - September 2025
• Cutover of old Production environment to the Supplier's new Data Center - August 2026
• Decommissioning old Production Data Center - November 2026

Here are the other details of the job descriptions:

• Setup physical machines
• Installation, configuration, and maintenance of AIX operating system.
• System performance tuning and monitoring.
• Patch management and software updates.
• File system management, including JFS and JFS2.
• System backup and recovery strategies.
• Knowledge of shell scripting and programming languages (such as Bash, Perl, Python) is crucial.
• Solid understanding of networking principles and configurations is essential. This includes knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, and network troubleshooting
• Ensuring the security of the AIX systems is paramount. Skills in implementing security policies, managing firewalls, understanding of encryption technologies, and conducting regular security audits are required.
• Experience with various storage technologies and tools, such as SAN, NAS, and logical volume management (LVM), is critical for an AIX Administrator. Managing disk space, performing storage migrations, and ensuring data integrity are part of the job.
• Proficiency with IBM's PowerVM or similar virtualization technologies is often required. Understanding how to manage virtual machines, allocate resources efficiently, and troubleshoot virtualization issues is key to maintaining an optimal system environment.

Educational Background and Certifications requirements:

• Solid Educational foundation in computer science, information technology, or a related field. A bachelor's degree / a master's degree or equivalent experience (Nice to have)
• Certifications are also highly valuable. Recognized certifications for AIX Administrators include: Certified System Administrator - AIX, Certified Advanced Technical Expert - AIX, Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) (Nice to have)
