Our challenge

We are looking for a highly skilled senior Java Full stack developer to join our company. In this role, Candidate will design, create, and implement various Java-based solutions for the business that will range from mobile applications to database programming.

The base salary for this position will vary based on geography and other factors. In accordance with law, the base salary for this role if filled within Mississauga, ON is CAD $120k - $125k/year & benefits (see below).

The Role

Responsibilities:

• Implement code for proof-of-concepts (PoCs) and prototypes to validate and support solution architecture strategies, ensuring alignment with technical requirements and industry best practices.
• Establish and maintain performance management controls and metrics, providing detailed insights and analytics to identify areas for optimization and enhancement.
• Analyze and contribute to the definition of functional and non-functional business requirements; translate these into well-defined architectural specifications that guide the design and implementation of the solution.
• Lead the design, implementation, unit testing, and debugging of applications using various programming languages, ensuring code quality and adherence to best practices in software development.
• Create comprehensive technical specifications for Commercial Off-The-Shelf (COTS) software, configuring and customizing products in accordance with those specifications to meet business needs.
• Maintain an in-depth understanding of functionality and solution architecture, continuously updating knowledge of emerging technologies and best practices to enhance system performance and reliability.

Requirements:

You are:

• Programming Languages:
  Java (Java 11), JavaScript
• Frameworks:
  Spring (including Spring Boot), Angular, React
• Databases:
  Oracle, MS-SQL, NoSQL (preferred)
• Big Data Technologies:
  Apache Flink, Apache Spark, Apache Kafka
• Web Technologies:
  HTML, CSS, JSON
• API Development:
  Proficient in designing and developing RESTful APIs
• Software Development Experience:
  Over 8+ years in software development with a focus on project delivery
• Microservices Architecture:
  Experienced in designing and implementing microservices
• Software Development Methodologies:
  Proficient in Agile practices and tools
• Operating Systems:
  UNIX, Linux; skilled in Shell scripting
• Project Management:
  Experience in managing software project delivery
