TalentWorld is recruiting an IT Infrastructure Platform Engineer in Mississauga, Ontario for one of our clients.
Responsibilities
• Build and deploy resilient platforms optimized for high availability and disaster recovery.
• Develop automation scripts and streamline configuration for efficient deployments across environments.
• Test and monitor platform performance, adjusting for maximum efficiency.
• Maintain detailed documentation on configurations, procedures, and security protocols.
• Identify risks and resolve issues to ensure platform stability and reliability.
• Apply security patches and ensure platforms meet compliance standards.
• Contribute to platform roadmap development to prepare teams for updates and releases.
• Provide Tier 3 support, quickly resolving complex technical issues.
• Coach team members and lead training to develop technical skills.
• Monitor resource usage and optimize platform performance to support business needs.
Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, IT, Engineering, or related field.
• Certifications Preferred - AWS, Azure, CompTIA Cloud+, or RHCE.
• 5+ years of platform engineering or infrastructure experience.
• 4-7 years of experience installing, patching, and managing applications on RHEL servers (focused on applications, not server management).
• Experience installing and managing applications/platforms such as GitLab, Artifactory, Ansible Automation Platform, or Informatica (similar applications like GitHub are also suitable).
• Experience installing applications on any Kubernetes platform.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines for application deployment.
• Proficiency with UNIX commands.
• Proficiency in Python, Bash, PowerShell; expertise in Linux and Windows; knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Familiar with PCI, SOC1/2, SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk).
• Strong problem-solving abilities, excellent communication, and experience mentoring team members.

Employment Details
• Salary: $45.00HR - $55.00HR
• Benefits: 40 Hours Weekly, Contract, Hybrid, Full Time
• Schedule: 8:00AM to 4:30PM, Monday to Friday
• Other: 12 months contract, possibility of extension
