The Audiologist's primary responsibility is to provide direct audiologic diagnostic assessment, habilitation services, and surveillance of high-risk children.
Diagnostic services include hearing assessment, habilitation services include hearing aid evaluation and prescription, and surveillance services include hearing assessment to identify infants at risk of developing Permanent Hearing Loss.
The Audiologist will also contribute to the School of CSD/Clinic's strategic and clinical education goals and supervise audiology graduate students' training.
The Audiologist must hold a current license with the College of Audiologists and Speech-Language Pathologists of Ontario, have a minimum of 1 year of experience as a clinical Audiologist, and possess strong interpersonal communication skills.
The Audiologist must also be registered as a hearing aid authorizer and dispenser, have skills to use various equipment, and be customer service oriented.
The Audiologist must be able to work effectively within a multi-disciplinary team, be flexible, and possess English language verbal communication skills.
