We are seeking a part-time Pharmacy Assistant to join our team at 2576 Porters Lake Lawtons Pharm in Porters Lake, Nova Scotia.
As a Pharmacy Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient-centered care and exceeding patients' expectations. Your responsibilities will include:
• Prescribing and dispensing medications
• Processing customer transactions (receiving and releasing prescriptions)
• Receiving in-person and telephone refill requests and recording deliveries
• Promoting PROfile programs
• Compounding and pill pack assembly
• Filing prescriptions, ordering and replenishing supplies, cleaning
• Drug order creation and receiving
• Scheduling professional clinical services (e.g. medication reviews, health risk assessments)
• Managing BTC and administrative duties
Requirements:
• Undergraduate degree, Pharmacy Technology Certificate, or other pharmacy-recognized program (preferred)
• Previous pharmacy experience (an asset)
• Excellent attention to detail, ability to multi-task, and work independently in a fast-paced environment
