Junior Analyst, Strategy and Operations

We are looking for a highly motivated Junior Analyst to join our Operations team at our corporate office in Toronto. In this role, you will be exposed to a wide range of initiatives impacting multiple business lines across Starlight. You will be challenged to brainstorm strategies for growth and impactful operational change. Your analytical skills, problem-solving abilities, strong interpersonal skills, and overall business process acumen are your most important tools in this role.

Duties and Responsibilities

As a member of this team, you will work directly with the Operations team to achieve success in a multitude of ongoing business transformation initiatives including, but not limited to, the following:

1. Gathering, monitoring, analyzing, and presenting real-time business data on a regular basis.
2. Facilitating project management of major business transformation initiatives across multiple business lines.
3. Supporting the refresh of the corporate strategic plan and related initiatives through stakeholder engagements with executives, research, etc.
4. Collaborating with multiple business lines in the discovery of new continuous improvement opportunities to drive value creation and operational efficiencies.
5. Drafting business cases, conducting feasibility studies, and completing cost-benefit analysis reports on a project-by-project basis.
6. Collaborating with Centers of Excellence in multiple continuous improvement engagements.
7. Developing and organizing presentations and reports for ongoing initiatives.
8. Supporting the creation and management of key business process maps to facilitate various process improvement initiatives.
9. Providing additional support to other COO's Office teams, as needed.

Requirements

1. Must be a 3rd or 4th year student pursuing an undergraduate degree in Engineering, Commerce, Economics, or Finance.
2. Should be highly proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word; process software (e.g., MS Visio, Blueworks, etc.).
3. Demonstrate an elevated level of interpersonal skills, verbal, and written communication.
4. Proficiency in Power BI is an asset.
5. Self-motivated individual with a strong work ethic and strong attention to detail.
