About the Role:
The Canadian Addiction Treatment Centres is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Nurse to join our Multidisciplinary Healthcare Team. As a Nurse, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and support to individuals struggling with addiction and mental health issues. You will work collaboratively with a team of healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized treatment plans that address the unique needs of each patient.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and deliver harm reduction and supportive treatment modalities for patients with opiate dependency
• Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to plan, implement, and evaluate treatment plans
• Administer medications, including methadone, suboxone, narcotics, and injections, as delegated by a licensed physician
• Perform ECGs, venipuncture, urine drug screening supervision, and other vital signs
Requirements:
• Completion of a Diploma in Registered Practical Nursing or a Bachelor of Science in Nursing
• Previous experience in addiction treatment and/or a similar field
• A member in good standing with the College of Nurses in Ontario
• Completes yearly CNO Quality Assurance certification
• Provision of a recent and acceptable Criminal Reference Check
• Phlebotomy and Electrocardiogram (ECG/EKG) are an asset
• Current First Aid and CPR Certification is required
