is currently seeking a Senior Network Engineer - Architect with Senior Network and Data Communications Architecture Services expertise, for one of our key government clients.
The role primarily focuses on the architecture, design, and enhancement of network infrastructure.
It involves ensuring the reliability, stability, and security of Wide Area Networks (WAN), Metropolitan Area Networks (MAN), and Local Area Networks (LAN).
A strong understanding of network design and implementation, along with proactive troubleshooting and optimization skills, is essential to fulfilling the responsibilities of this position.The Senior Network Engineer is vital in the IM/IT branch's mission to provide a seamless and secure network experience for operations.
This position directly impacts departmental program delivery and the citizens by ensuring network reliability, performance, and security.
The engineer will work closely with the Network lead, operations and project delivery teams.Candidate MUST have the following:
Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field; equivalent experience will be considered;Required Certifications:
Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert (CCIE);Preferred certifications:
Palo Alto Networks Certified Network Security Engineer (PCNSE), Zscaler Certified Cloud Professional (ZCCP) or relevant Zscaler certifications;Over five (5+) years of experience in enterprise-level network engineering roles;Strong background in Cisco and Meraki wireless solutions, SD-WAN, Cisco DNA, and security technologies, particularly Palo Alto Networks, Prisma Access, and Zscaler;Hands-on experience with 802.1x configurations, ISE, RADIUS, TACACS, and digital certificates.Candidate should have the following demonstrated experience:
Proficient with network protocols and troubleshooting tools (e.g., Wireshark);Strong knowledge of security principles, network monitoring, and incident response;Excellent communication skills, able to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams;Deploy, administer, and optimize Cisco DNA, SD-WAN, Prisma Access, Zscaler, and wireless solutions to meet organizational needs;Integrate and support 802.1x for network authentication, ISE/RADIUS/TACACS configurations, and digital certificate management;Implement and maintain Palo Alto firewalls, Cisco Meraki, and other wireless and security network solutions;Configure and manage network security settings, including policies within Palo Alto, Prisma Access, and Zscaler, ensuring alignment with client's security standards;Problem-solving mindset with the ability to manage multiple tasks under high-pressure situations.Donna Cona is committed to a diverse, equitable and inclusive workplace.
