Bruce & Monahan Chartered Professional Accountants is an established and well-respected Halifax-based boutique public accounting firm offering accounting, tax and business advisory services to a variety of Atlantic Canada's most reputable private companies.
The firm's relationship-focused approach works to intimately understand and strategically advise clients with personalized, partner-level service.
As a Staff Accountant, you will work collaboratively with team members and partners to support the firm in achieving strategic objectives.
Your key responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor of Commerce or BBA in Accounting as well as a CPA designation, or have an interest in completing a CPA designation.
You are a proactive and detail-oriented problem solver with strong financial and analytical comprehension, exceptional time management and prioritization skills, and are proficient in financial statement preparation.
You possess effective communication and interpersonal skills, enjoy being challenged, are highly professional and value client confidentiality.
Experience with CaseWare and professional tax software in a public accounting environment is required.
