Akkodis is currently searching for a full time Systems Analyst for a long-term project within the Halifax area.
This work may be completed remotely.
However, consultants must be prepared to work at the client's Halifax office location as required.

Job Summary:

The project is a Five-Year IT Strategic plan that includes implementing strategic IT changes within the organization.
The Systems Analyst (SA) will join a team of technical and business analyst resources within the Project Management Office (PMO) and is expected to play a hands-on role working on projects with various stakeholders.
Providing a blend of analytical skills, technical expertise, and effective communication to ensure successful implementation of software systems.
As the IT liaison, providing a diverse set of business and technical analytical skills to effectively bridge the gap between business needs and IT solutions.
Identifying and recommending new or improved business processes and system upgrades to ensure objectives and intended benefits are realized.
Becoming a Subject Matter Expert on implemented vendor software.
Actively participate in the Testing and Quality Assurance (QA) process.

Scope of Deliverables:

Requirements Definition:
working with business units to elicit, document and prioritize business and system requirements.
Process & System Documentation:
producing process and system documentation.
Application Expertise:
becoming an expert on vendor applications involved inassigned projects (end user and technical aspects of applications).
System Configuration:
working with required vendor and resources to ensure configuration settings, parameters, and requirements for a process and/or system are understood, documented, and implemented to ensure they meet intended operational and functional requirements.
Data Migration:
supporting data migration tasks such as defining scope of migration, identifying data sources, field mapping, assessing data quality, data cleansing, evaluating risks, and creating any required mitigation plans.
Report Discovery & Development:
working with vendor software reporting capabilities (out-of-box and ad-hoc) and with client's data/reporting resources to ensure business reporting requirements are delivered.
Systems Integration:
supporting vendor and client technical resources on systems integration design, testing, and implementation.

The successful candidate must possess the qualifications:

Minimum 5 years system analysis experience in elicitation and document of requirements using task and workflow analysis; Stakeholder Management to analyze information needs, functional and non-functional requirements and process improvements; and supporting the change management effort
Utility and/or Public Sector industry experience with several clients.
Strong analytical skills to translate business needs into technical requirements, effective communication and collaboration with IT and subject matter experts, and involvement in the QA process in cloud or on-premises environments.
Bachelor's degree in business, IT/Computer Science or related discipline from a recognized university/ institution or equivalent experience is desired; certification in data analysis, SQL, MS Fabric is considered an asset
SAFe ®, PMIDASM ™, or CSM is considered an asset; and Prosci CMP® is considered an asset.
Previous experience with implementing Commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) solutions is considered an asset.
