The Medical Laboratory Technologist (MLT) is a trained allied health professional who performs a variety of anatomical pathology services under the direction of a specialist Anatomical Pathologist and Charge Pathologists' Assistant. This role is intended to provide a cross-trained member to fulfill 50% of duties as a Histology laboratory technologist (embedding, sectioning, and staining) and 50% duties working within the scope of the MLT role for the Gross Room and Post-mortem suite (initial handling, dissection, gross examination and processing of surgical and autopsy tissues). The Medical Laboratory Technologist will contribute to divisional efficiency by performing this broad range of tasks and helping to standardize and enhance the overall quality in the practice of Anatomical Pathology.
Monday - Friday; 0700-1500, 0730-1530 or 0900-1700, with Weekend and Holiday standby/callback
