ABOUT YOU
As a candidate with at least three years of recent experience in a Canadian public accounting firm, you will join a team of sixteen other professionals in our established accounting and consulting practice. You will be responsible for preparation of audit and review engagements, compilations, and tax filings with the support of your colleagues, managers, partners and administrative staff.

ABOUT US
We are a successful and growing public accounting and consulting practice located in Bedford, NS (soon to be moving to a brand-new office in the RBC Building at Sunnyside Mall) who have been in operation for over 14 years. Our scope of clients include small-medium size businesses; not-for-profit organizations; and individuals with complex accounting and taxation needs.
We are a CPA-approved learning office with a team of knowledgeable professionals including CPAs, CPA students, other professionals and oftentimes co-op students and we pride ourselves on offering a supportive, low-stress environment . Our practice has grown significantly over the past years solely as a result of referrals from our satisfied clients and a network of other professionals who have recommended us to their clients after experience with our work, our staff, and our culture. We are fortunate to have a very enjoyable client-base whose quality we attribute to our referral-based growth - we believe people tend to refer other people they like and respect to their own accountant.
Our office dog, Gigi (non-shedding Havanese mix) does her part to keep things entertaining and rounds out the team!
Requirements:
• A minimum of 3 years experience in a public accounting firm is required
• A CPA designation is an asset, but not mandatory
• Strong problem solving, analytical, and communication skills
• A desire for continuous learning
• A kind and helpful nature
Qualifications / Experience:
• Proficiency with Microsoft office programs including Word and Excel expected
• Experience in the use of Caseware and Taxprep would be considered a definite asset
Beyond the compensation range identified above, the Firm also:
- Offers paid overtime and/or extra paid days off at employees preference
