Corporate Accounting & Treasury AnalystFortis Inc.

FTS) has an exciting opportunity to join its team in St.
John's, Newfoundland and Labrador as a Corporate Accounting & Treasury Analyst.We are inviting applications from individuals who can thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic workplace.
Reporting to the Manager, Financial Reporting, the successful candidate will be an integral member of the Finance team.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Perform daily treasury activities, including the processing of payments in online banking platforms; Oversee banking permissions, approvals, and compliance with the company's authorization policy; Complete monthly bank reconciliations for various companies; Work closely with the accounts payable function to ensure timely, accurate payments to key stakeholders; Complete account reconciliations on a regular cadence to ensure accurate financial records;Conduct key aspects of monthly, quarterly and annual financial close processes; Act as process owner for certain financial reporting, accounts payable and expense report applications;Provide administrative support for financial reporting processes and deliverables and file documents with securities administrators;Prepare financial analysis and project work; andOther duties as assigned.Required Skills and Abilities:
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail; Strong collaboration skills with the ability to work independently and with a team; Excellent analytical skills combined with knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting requirements;Excellent oral and written communication skills; Strong computer skills, including proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Office; andAbility to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously to meet deadlines.Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Commerce or Business Management, with a concentration in Accounting; A minimum of five (5) years of practical work experience; orAn equivalent combination of education and experience.We offer a competitive salary and benefits package including but not limited to:
