Role Overview:

Genie Aerospace is seeking a dynamic Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to lead our financial strategy and drive the financial management of cutting-edge R&D initiatives. The CFO will oversee financial planning, advance funding for innovation programs, and provide strategic guidance on resource allocation to ensure sustainable growth and technological leadership.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Financial Leadership:

Develop and implement financial strategies that support Genie Aerospace's R&D-focused mission.
Partner with the CEO and executive team to align financial goals with long-term innovation priorities.
Drive financial planning for large-scale R&D projects, balancing risk and opportunity.

Capital Management:

Secure funding for R&D initiatives through investor relations, partnerships, and government grants.
Negotiate and manage contracts with stakeholders, including venture capitalists and aerospace agencies.
Oversee capital budgeting, ensuring effective allocation of resources toward R&D programs.

Financial Operations:

Manage financial reporting, audits, and compliance with industry regulations.
Ensure efficient cost control and financial discipline across R&D initiatives.
Optimize funding models for sustainability and scalability.

Risk Management:

Evaluate financial risks associated with R&D investments and develop mitigation strategies.
Monitor global economic trends and their impact on Genie Aerospace's financial health.

Qualifications:

Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, or Economics.
15+ years of senior financial leadership experience, preferably in aerospace, technology, energy, or innovation-driven industries.
Demonstrated success in securing funding for R&D-intensive programs.
Deep understanding of financial regulations, risk management, and ESG finance practices.
Strong negotiation skills and experience managing government contracts or grants.

Preferred Attributes:

Experience in aerospace, energy or high-tech industries with an emphasis on R&D.
Strong analytical and decision-making skills.
Passion for innovation and sustainability in aerospace.
