Can-Tech Services is looking for a Quality Engineer for one of our reputable Manufacturing clients in the Mississauga area.
Our client is a leading Canadian manufacturer of Patio Furniture and Storage Products.

Their products are manufactured and distributed throughout Canada, the USA, and Europe, and sold throughout over 12,000 North American major retail outlets.

Quality Engineer.
Position Type:
Permanent/Full-Time.
Pay:
Up to $85k annually.

Mississauga, ONResponsibilities:
Assist the QAM in developing, updating, and implementing work instructions and packaging specifications for various products.
Assist the QAM to help maintain the Document Control Program for the whole site.
Help develop and train on Open Point Lesson (OPL), and QA Alerts for the Production floor and site whenever the situation requires.
Assist the QAM on employee yearly training (refresher) on SOP's/WI, GMP's and other customer related programs.
Prepare daily/weekly Quality reports for the Quality Assurance Manager.
Monitor & collect information, data, statistics for month end reports for the QAM.
Support the General Manager and the QAM to enforce new quality goals (KPI's) based on product performance and customer satisfaction.
Develop inspection logs for new and existing productsReview completed quality inspections logs and communicated issues or concernsConduct inspections on customer returns and identify quality issues and recommend solutionsCollaborate with suppliers and customers to resolve quality issuesKeep track of quality issues and implement corrective and preventive actionsDevelop and oversee product testing methods for new and existing products at different stages of productionOrganize quality testing studies and use statistical methods (SPC) to analyze data and identify irregularitiesAnalyze dimensional layouts and make improvements where required as per customer requirementsInvestigate all non-conformity reports (NCR) and issue quality as neededCreate and submit Production Part Approval Processes (PPAP) & First Article Inspection Review (FAIR) to the customer, as requiredCoordinate internal audits to ensure consistency in company practicesConduct monthly GMP's, 9001:
2015, and any other customer related audits to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
Generate findings/CAR for Dept.
Managers to address and be in compliance with the given standards.
Organize audits on suppliers using various assessment strategiesTrain production staff and quality assurance technicians on quality standards and proceduresDevelop, Maintain and file quality documentation including quality alerts, testing results and corrective actionsOversee and maintain the Calibration Program for the site and report any issues to the Quality Assurance Manager.

Education:
