About this Opportunity:

The VP of Finance & Accounting will be responsible for preparation and presentation of financial reports, analysis of financial information, and management of cash flows & profitability analysis.
The successful candidate will also prepare, present, and manage our annual budget, including variance analysis as we progress throughout the year.
This position will work directly with our President & CEO and the leadership team to ensure that ONE remains on track to meet & exceed our growth targets and financial KPIs.

The person:

You are a seasoned finance professional who excels at ensuring financial excellence while nurturing a culture of innovation and collaboration.
Your experience includes progressively more responsible roles within Finance and Accounting where you have acted as a strategic partner to the business.
Your experience includes collaborating on the development of a strategic growth plan, forecasting, budgeting and in creating financial reporting that enhances business decisions.

Key Responsibilities:

Leads all finance functions including operational accounting and budgeting, financial reporting, controlling and project controlling, tax planning and compliance, policy and internal control development.
Drives the monitoring, tracking and reporting of key performance indicators such as EBITA.
Develops and maintains rigorous financial and operational controls.
Directs and prepares financial analyses of operations for guidance of management, ensuring leaders are provided with feedback about costs, process efficiencies and overall departmental performances, analyzing cash flow, cost controls, and expenses to guide business leaders along with analyzing financial statements to pinpoint potential areas for opportunity.
Directs the preparation of reports which outline the company's financial position in the areas of income, expenses and earnings based on past, present and future operations.

The ideal candidate brings:

A post-secondary degree specializing in accounting, finance or equivalent.
A CPA designation in good standing.
Other professional designations such as CFA, MBA, CBV or ICD.D would be considered assets.
Minimum 5 years of previous leadership experience with Finance.
Past experience as a proven business partner and trusted advisor to the senior leadership team.
Exceptional communicator and strong analytical skills are required.
Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines and commit to accuracy and attention to detail required.
Results driven, business growth focused strategic planner with strong planning and financial analysis skills.
Demonstrated knowledge of Canadian financial institution accounting and complex transactions to establish effective controls for existing and new businesses.
Knowledge and understanding of applicable regulatory requirements (OSFI), expectations and business impacts.
Superior communication skills (oral and written) and interpersonal skills.
