About the Company
Keewaytinook Okimakanak Board of Education (KOBE) is looking to hire a full-time Speech Language Pathologist to support students requiring speech and language assessments and intervention in the remote First Nations of Deer Lake First Nation, Keewaywin First Nation, Poplar Hill First Nation, Fort Severn First Nation, and North Spirit Lake First Nation.
To support the work-life balance and the well-being of our staff, KOBE offers the following vacation and holiday schedule:
Four weeks of vacation annually as part of their employment benefits
Two weeks off during the Christmas break, coinciding with the holiday season
One week off for March Break, aligning with the school calendar
About the Role
Reporting to the Vice Principal, the successful candidate will be required to complete assessments, develop intervention plans and complete reporting for students with communication disorders.
The Speech Language Pathologist will provide direction and guidance to the Communication Disorders Assistant(s).
The Speech Language Pathologist will participate as a member of the Speech Language Team in cooperation with KOBE staff, KO First Nation school principals and teachers, students' families in addressing students' speech and language needs.
The Speech and Language Pathologist will work out of KOBE's Winnipeg sub office and travel to Northern community schools to provide 1:
1 intervention to students.
Qualifications
Salary range:
$82,115 - $99,812 based on education and experience.
