Job Details:

We are currently seeking a Senior Electrical Solar Engineer for our Power Division.

Responsibilities:

1. Assigns and outlines work, advises on technical problems, and reviews work for technical accuracy and adequacy.
2. Reviews and prepares technical documents to ensure accuracy and compliance with technical requirements.
3. Prepares proposal writeups and estimates based on client Request for Proposals (RFPs).
4. Develops, approves, and co-ordinates work schedules to ensure that objectives of cost, quality, and time are met.
5. Requires effective working relationships with colleagues, officials, and associates for the purpose of discussing design problems, explaining design features and specifications, and other project control criteria.
6. Establishes and maintains client contacts to seek or provide technical information related to the immediate project.
7. Analyses problems, organizes investigations, and determines specific design criteria.
8. Makes commitments on acceptance of projects, completion dates, resources, and staff required to meet objectives.
9. Is required to have knowledge of related disciplines/fields of engineering.

Requirements:

1. University degree in Electrical Engineering.
2. 10+ years of working experience in Electrical Solar Engineering.
3. The ideal candidate will have experience working in consulting firms.
4. Registered as a Professional Engineer in Canada.
5. Possess experience in preparing substation plan and profile view, grounding, and lightning.
6. Possess exceptional communication skills (client relations, team project communications, and proposal and report development).
7. Mastery of PVsyst and all detailed design aspects of PV generating facilities.
8. Possess an extensive background in electrical studies for medium and high voltage systems.
9. The ideal candidate will possess experience in preparing technical specification of the electrical equipment, evaluation of proposals, and will be able to review vendor drawings.
10. The ideal candidate will possess experience with high voltage substations for renewable and electrical utility clients.

The salary range for this position is $120,000 to $160,000.

A requirement of working for Tetra Tech is that you are at least 18 years of age and legally entitled to work in Canada.
