The Impact You'll Make in this Role

As a Mechanical Engineer, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:

• Leading efforts to improve manufacturing equipment reliability, safety and performance.
• Design and source new production equipment and tooling; optimize existing equipment.
• Performing FAT, SAT, and Process Validation (IQ,OQ,PQ, PPQ) on a variety of manufacturing equipment and processes.
• Apply advanced engineering principals to effectively troubleshoot and resolve technical challenges.
• Lead and support a variety of projects including:
  new equipment installation and validation, process improvements, product design changes, and more.
• Support Engineering and Maintenance teams with equipment optimization, troubleshooting and documentation.
• Stay current with industry trends and technology; network with corporate engineering teams.
• Other duties as assigned by Engineering Supervisor.

Company Vehicle

This position requires driving a company vehicle, which will require pre-employment and ongoing review of motor vehicle history for candidates who are offered and hired for this position

Your Skills and Expertise
To set you up for success in this role from day one, Solventum requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution AND a Minimum of 2 years' experience working as an Engineer in a manufacturing environment

OR

• High School Diploma/GED AND a Minimum of 6 years' experience working as an Engineer in a manufacturing environment

AND

• Current, valid Driver's License.

Additional experience that could help you succeed even further in this role include:

• Proficient with 3D modeling (e.g. SolidWorks, NX) and mechanical design
• Commissioning and validation of equipment and processes
• Statistical analysis with the use of Minitab
• Experience with Robotics (Fanuc, UR), End-to-end automation, packaging equipment, etc.
• Demonstrated project leadership abilities on highly technical and complex projects
• Experience working in regulated industry (i.e. MedTech, Pharma, etc.)
• Strong work ethic and committed to safety and quality.
• Professional Engineer (P.Eng.), or eligible to register as one, in Manitoba
• Strong problem solving and troubleshooting abilities
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills (English)

Travel:
May include up to 10% domestic/international
